VH-RMG
(1) Vickers 832 Viscount II
(c/n 414)
This
photograph was taken at the Vickers works at Hurn in the UK, by Mr.
Linday Wise, a
former Ansett engineer who had been
despatched by Ansett-ANA to the manufacturer as
Resident Inspector in
1958/59. VH-RMG was the first of four new 800 series
Viscounts
ordered by the
airline. They served the airline well until 1970 and then
were sold off to Far
East Air Transport in Taiwan who
used them on their inter-island routes. This machine became
B-2015, and served for a while, under lease, with Manadala Airlines in
Indonesia as PK-RVP.
