Here's the Kempsey Flying Club's
Cessna 172A in 1971. Photo by John Wheatley. The 172A
was
basically a 172 with a swept fin and rudder. It wasn't until the
advent of the B series that the
Skyhawk
name was adapted. This one was originally imported in
December 1959, ex N7373T,
as
VH-BCK(3). When sold to the Royal
Aero Club of NSW in June of
1960 it became the
second VH-RSL.
It assumed its -RLZ
identity in 1964 when sold off by the RACNSW. .
