VH-RHC Cessna 182D Skylane
(c/n 53056)
Greg Banfield took the
above shot at Bankstown in April 1965. Odd, that at that time,
the rego
was painted on the fuselage
and not as tiny squashed script on the fin. This Cessna, ex
N9956T,
was first registered as a new machine to
Schutt Aircraft Pty Ltd at Moorabbin in February 1961.
It was later to go to
owners in WA. In fact, whilst with DJ Air Charter of Bunbury, it
was photo-
graphed by Geoff Goodall (below) at that
locale in April 1969. Geoff reports
that it had just
landed after doing some local photographic work in
the area. Hence lack of starboard door!
Geoff's second shot, at the
foot of this entry, shows the same machine at Kalgoorlie in August
1972, this time with Hicks Air Charter
(of Perth) titling. It had several more owners in WA
before being written off in an accident at
Mount Magnet, WA on 15 June 1981. .
