VH-RFG Cessna 182B Skylane
(c/n 52058)
VH-RFG was registered as a new aircraft on 10 July 1959 to Robbys
Aircraft Co at Parafield
before being sold to a
Sydney owner in October 1960. It was advertised for sale in
June 1962
by deHaviiland
Aircraft at Bankstown having only had 456 hours TT by then
. It was painted
white with a two tone
green. It then had three consecutive Melbourne owners
before moving
over to WA on sale to Ted
McGuire of Wittenoom in the northern Pilbara district, who traded
as Wittenoom Tourist Centre.
In addition to providing charter flights to the ore
mining towns
McGuire also offered scenic
flights over Wittenoom Gorge. In June 1974 -RFG was traded in
at Schutt Aircraft at Moorabbin and quickly sold on
to Turramberry Estate near Echuca. It is
currently back in the Northern Territory, flying for
Bunda Livestock Pty Ltd of Katherine.
Sounds like
this busy Cessna has really earned its keep.
