VH-RDT (2) Cessna T210F
Turbo-Centurion
(c/n T210-0081)
This early, although brand
new at the time, wing strutted Centurion (later models were fully
cantilevered) took part in
the 1966 Mobil-Moomba Air Race. Photo by Richard Maclean,
at Moorabbin shortly after
the event. It appears the owner was 'into' rallies, since
it was
later seen by John Wheatley (below) carrying a
Retailers' Queensland Rally number, circa
1971. In October 1973 it was acquired
by John Boxall of Sudbury, WA, dba Boxall Air
Charter. Geoff Goodall's shot at the foot of the page was taken
at that locale in January
1974, with the aircraft still looking pristine in its original Cessna
factory scheme. It is still
on the current register and is now based in the Lake Macquarie district
of NSW.
