VH-PIT Piper PA-25 Pawnee 235/A1
(c/n 25-2543)
This Pawnee was converted to "razorback"
layout by Stawell Airwork as part of modifying it as
a training
machine for ag pilots. The two b & w shots are by Geoff
Goodall. Above, at Stawell
in July
1966, and below at Parkes, NSW in July 1967. By that time
it was owned by Farm Air
of Tinamba Vic, and
given the phonetic name of its last letter, in this case "Tango".
After its ag
days
were done it became a glider tug with the Adelaide Soaring Club.
Andrei Bezmylov took
a shot of it in
August, 2006 at their base at Gawler, South Australia (bottom of
page). It is still
with the
club (2007).
