Skyhawk
(c/n 17250521)
VH-PIP was registered to Pip Borrman ,

about 11 years old and had been flying, under his father’s
instruction, for two years in a Tiger Moth, also registered VH-PIP. (It
was reregistered VH-RIP
when Boorman bought the Cessna). . Borrman senior
died when his Tiger Moth flipped in
1975 while Pip, who had become a champion aerobatic pilot, was killed
at Shepparton in 2009
while practising a routine in his Pitts Samson . By then,
VH-PIP had long been sold and when
David Carter photographed it (above) at Canberra in April 1977 it was
owned by a pilot from
nearby Queanbeyan. In October 1988, the Skyhawk was
reregistered VH-SQK for Mulligan
Drilling, of Khancoban, NSW and was still with them in December 2016
