(c/n 165)
VH-PHP was one of a fleet of Airtourers
operated by Hawker de Havilland subsidiary
Hoxton
Park Flying School. The aircraft was originally
earmarked for sale in New Zealand
as ZK-COW but in the wake of Victa’s decision to stop production
, was sold locally.
It was registered in January 1967
and photographed by David Carter at Hoxton Park in
1969 . –PHP was withdrawn from use in August 1987.
When it was restored in January
1991, the owner Richard
Davies, of Coorow, Western Australia, got the personalised
marks of VH-RIC. He remains the owner in December 2016.
