VH-PBH (1) Piper PA-24-250
Comanche
(c/n 24-2188)
Formerly VH-PIA
and before that VH-CIL, VH-PBH was registered in November 1966.
Mike Madden saw it
(above) at Bankstown in 1967 when it was brand new while David
Carter snapped it sitting in a beam of sunlight in a Bankstown hangar
in
1970 (below) with
a new and colorful, although very non-Piper-standard paint job,
despite the tail
logo.
–PBH was struck
off the register on February 15, 1977, as
damaged. At the time it was
based at Whyalla
but where it was damaged and the nature of that damage is not
known.
