VH-MEQ Piper PA-25 Pawnee
150
(c/n 25-342)
This early production Pawnee was carrying a
non standard Piper livery when Geoff Goodall
took the
above shot at Muckinbudin, West Australia in February 1975. This
suggests it had
pranged
once or twice and been repainted in a custom scheme. This PA-25
was first registered
at the
end of 1960 as VH-DAK,
assuming the identity VH-MEQ in 1965 when it was
acquired
by
Millard O'Sullivan Aviation. It spent a brief period with Civil
Flying Services (WA) Pty. Ltd.
in 1965
before being acquired by Bob Couper Pty Ltd in 1966. It was sold
off some time in
the
1970s and was written off in a crash at Beacon, near Welbungin, WA in
August 1980, killing
the pilot.
