VH-KJW
Piper PA-28R-180 Cherokee Arrow
(c/n 28R-30492)
VH-KJW was an entrant in
Queensland's annual Retailers' Association Warana Air Race when
the John Wheatley shot above
was taken, circa 1970. It was operated at the time
by Whyalla
Air
Taxis. Below is an enlargement showing its pilots and sponsor.
The machine is wearing its
factory
livery so must have been virtually brand new at the time.
Ex N4611J, it was later owned
by the Aero Club of Broken Hill. It is still
current and is now registered to a private owner in Victoria.
