VH-KEH de Havilland D.H.82A Tiger
Moth
(c/n DHA60)
Although this Tiger had been sold by the CDC
back on 6 September 1946 (for 100 quid) to the
Association of
Australian Aero Clubs (it was formerly A17-63) it did not appear on the
register
until 1990. So where had it been for almost fifty years?
Odd that spotters of that 1940-60s era
such as
myself, Geoff Goodall, Greg Banfield, John Hopton et al never seem to
have stumbled on
it.
So where did it hide? Anyway, Mark Goodman's shot
(above) was taken in the early 1990s
after it had been restored wearing, naturally, an all training yellow
and carrying the correct military
serial.
It is still current and James Killingworth advises me that it is
now in the tender loving care
of his
father, Mike.
