Dornier Do 27Q-4
(c/n 2075)
Two shots of this Dornier in New
Guinea from the Geoff Goodall collection. Above it is seen
with the original factory
livery, whilst the Al Bovelt shot below at Wewak in April 1967 shows
it
with a much revised paint scheme. The aircraft was operated
by the Catholic Mission of the
Holy Ghost, (hence appropriate registration) and in fact, spent all of
its career in missionary work
until
it was written off on 26 July 1968 when it suffered a violent ground
loop on landing at Kunjiingini,
New
Guinea.
