VH-IAZ Piper PA28-140
Cherokee
(c/n
28-22672)
Illawarra Flying School bought a fleet of Cherokees in the late 1960s,
of which VH-IAZ was one.
It had
been delivered in April 1967 and like the others, wore a standard
factory livery and always
in red, with that silly little rego on the fuselage..
(Were they trying to hide the ID on low flying
aircraft?) David Carter photographed –IAZ at
Bankstown on April 17, 1971 The aircraft was
still current in September 2016 and based at
Ballarat.
