VH-GWG (2) de
Havilland
D.H.82A Tiger Moth
(c/n DHA645/T285)
This is the
former
VH-BGL (ex A17-445) reworked in the
1960s as VH-GWG. Greg Banfield's
color shot above
was at Bankstown in June 1969. The 'Cs" look like 'Gs'.
(Fairly common at thst
time). Geoff Goodall caught it poking its nose
out of Sid Marshall's hangar at the same locale a
couple of years earlier iin January of 1967. (Below). It
is still currently
active, owned by Richard
Scott (registered under his company name of
First Step Resources) and is available for
hire for joy
flights through Vintage Airways of Lilydale, where it is
based, and where the shot below, by Peter
Hough
was taken, in November 2012. I especially like the nice
civvy paint
job.
