VH-EYE Cessna
310P
(c/n 310P0059)
Rex Aviation registered VH-EYE in June 1969 after it had flown in from
the United States as
N5739M. David Carter snapped it outside Flight Facilities
at Mascot soon after. The 1976
register showed –EYE was based at Mascot with Nationwide Air Services,
an early third-level
airline . It later went to another third-level
airline, Southern Cross Airways, although it is unclear
if the Cessna twin was used on scheduled services. When –EYE was
withdrawn from use in
October 2011 it had been based at Wangaratta, Victoria for at least
five years.
