VH-CXM de
Havilland D.H.82A Tiger Moth
(c/n DHA810)
This aircraft had been a RAAF instructional
airframe (INST.16) up until 1961 and hence its
entry
into the civilian world was at least a decade after similar ex-military
machines. Prior to
that it
had served as A17-660. The shot above (from the Brian Baker
collection) was taken
by
Neville Parnell at Maitland, NSW in November 1963. Geoff Goodall
saw it in the hangar
at
Bourke, NSW
in September 1968 (below). It is still currently registered to
Darling
Farms
in
Bourke. Sounds like it might be a topdresser?
