This was formerly
VH-GBC (and N2004G when built). It became -CWB in 1960 and
was
operated
by Bill Taylor of Nyngan NSW who operated as Central Western Aviation
Service
out of Nyngan. The above
shot was taken by Bob Neate, while in the lower, by Greg Banfield
at Bankstown on 29 March 1964, it
was a participant in the 1964 Ansett Air Race. It was flown,
on that occasion by D.G. Wills. . In October 1964 a Comanche 250
assumed the rego -CWB
and oddly, it too,
had previously been VH-GBC. To allow this to happen the
above
machine
was re-registered .VH-TOL when sold off
by CWAS.
