VH-CTP Piper PA-28-140 Cherokee C
(c/n 28-26592)
CFS had a sizable fleet of Cherokees back in the 1970s.
The inscription under the corporate titling
of "The National Flying Training
Organisation" may have been a bit ambitious since the school
began at Melbourne's
Moorabbin Airport and then moved to Western
Australia. So far as I am
aware, there were no
franchises in NSW or Queensland. Geoff Goodall caught -CTP
basking in the
sun at Jandakot Airport,
Perth in October 1971. It had been imported, brand
new, the year before.
It is now longer on the register, but was flying well into the new
millennium.
