VH-CMN Cessna 182F Skylane
(c/n 18254752)
VH-CMN, seen here at
Jandakot in October 1971 by Geoff Goodall, was owned at the time by
the charter company Esair Pty Ltd of Esperance
WA. Alistair Coutts' shot, below, was taken at
the same venue five
years earlier in June 1966. VH-CMN was another
Hazelton second-hand
import ex N3352U,
registered on 12 November 1965 to Hazelton Air Services of Cudal
NSW.
The following year it west to WA when sold
to Air Culture Pty Ltd who fitted spraybars for agri-
cultural spraying, clearly visible in Alistair's photo.
In fact, trigear Cessnas were rarely used for
crop spraying in
Australia but nevertheless Air Culture had this one plus -DBX also
acquired from
Hazeltons which
they used for the 1966 ag season. Both were soon sold off
and -CMN was
acquired by in June 1968 by Trans West Air
Charter of Perth and returned to standard four seater
configuration.
It is still currently registered.
