VH-CER CAC CA-28 Ceres C
(c/n 16)
The nice shot above (via Geoff
Goodall) was taken by Richard Hourigan at Albury NSW in February
1964. The
Ceres was owned by Marshall's Spreading Service, who took delivery of
it as a new air-
craft from CAC
on 19 December 1961. It remained with Marshalls until it
was destroyed on 2nd
March 1967 when it
crashed while spreading superphosphate at Weule near Tumbarumba, NSW.
Geoff's
own shot of it was taken at the same venue in February 1966 by which
time the poor old hard
worked thing
appeared to be devoid of any side rego whatsoever!
