VH-CAC
(2) Avro 652A Anson 1
The second
VH-CAC was this Anson, first registered in 1954. Gus Grulke's
shot (via Geoff Goodall)
shows it at Brisbane's Eagle Farm
Airport in 1954. I assume it was with DCA at the time (when the
Department sold off
its aircraft, they were quickly re-registered out if the VH-C series),
although the
tail stripes are non standard for
DCA machines, plus it is absent the Department's badge. VH-CAC
was withdrawn from serrvice in
1958. It was formerly W2378 with the RAAF.
