Daw collection of the same
aeroplane. Ex A17-454, VH-BXI had originally been
civilianized
from RAAF disposals
at Point Cook as VH-AXI in October 1946. It was
re-registered, per
DCA dictate in
September 1949 when the VH-AX series were declared 'prohibited
registrations'.
It was
withdrawn from use in August 1951.
