Cessna 180D Skywagon
(c/n 51028)
This Skywagon was seen at Parafield, SA in April 1965. Photo by
Geoff Goodall. Originally
registered to the Missionary Aviation Fellowship at Wewak, New Guinea
in November 1961,
it
had just been traded in on a new 185, and with Mafair titles painted
over on the fuselage, was
being ferried to new owner Bob Couper Co at Cunderdin WA.
Geoff saw it again Jandakot in
April 1969
(below), while owned by Yilgarn Aviation, Perth. It still
retained Mafair’s distinctive
yellow paint scheme when this picture was taken. It
was written off in a ground loop on landing
20 miles south of Christmas Creek WA on 13 May 1972.
