VH-BUB de Havilland D.H.82A Tiger Moth
(c/n DHA156)
VH-BUB ( ex
VH-DAK, VH-BTR, A17-155) crashed
at Yarloop, WA on 16 March 1961.
It was
owned by Hal Watts' Rural Aviation, Perth at the time. Watts was
flying at low altitude
on a
cropdusting flight over hilly terrain when a strong downdraft forced
him into the trees. The
Tiger was not
rebuilt and the wreck passed through the hands of several Perth
suburban rebuild
syndicates wherein its parts were used in various other aircraft.
The above shot is from the Geoff
Goodall
collection.
