VH-BOR  de Havilland D.H.82A Tiger Moth             (c/n  82568)

                               

                                      Above is a nice Nigel Daw study taken at Port Augusta, SA in May 1972.  VH-BOR was one
                                      of the Tigers which was built in Hatfield and shipped to Australia.    It became A17-14 with the
                                      RAAF, and was civilianized as late as 1953.  At some point in its career it received a raised rear
                                      decking fairing, as can be seen in both the above photo and also in the one by Geoff Goodall,
                                      below, taken at Wangaratta, earlier in 1965.    VH-BOR is currently still registered to an owner
                                      in Walcha, NSW.
