VH-BNE (2) Cessna 172F
Skyhawk
(c/n 51949)
From a signwriting
perspective, VH-BNE was a minimum change reregistration of the Royal
New-
castle
Aero Club’s VH-RNF. The club had owned the
aircraft from new and operated it from
from
December 1964 to January 1966. As was customary for the club at
the time, the registration
was
changed so the club could retain the –RN* block. In fact, this
172F was the third plane to
carry the
registration. VH-BNE (2) was written off in a crash near
Port Lincoln, SA on 6 Sept
1981.
