VH-BNB (1) de Havilland D.H.82A Tiger
Moth (c/n
DHA69/T221)
This shot (via Geoff
Goodall) is from the South Australian Aviation Museum collection, and
so I
have no idea who
the curly-head is. It was taken at Parafield circa 1949
The child looks to be
six or seven
years old, which would put her at around 70 today (2012). VH-BNB
was the former
A17-72, civilianized from RAAF disposals at Port Pirie in 1946
and sold to the Royal Aero Club
of SA in
September 1948. When the club re-registered its aircraft
into the VH-BW block at the
end of 1950,
VH-BNB became VH-BWB.
