VH-BLP Avro 652A Anson
1
(ex DG913)
This grainy shot (an enlargement of the complete
photo below) and the Albury Aerodrome sign
(foot of the
page) are from the Robin Ellis collection (via Ross Gorman).
Robin is the step
daughter of Gus
Greenfield who operated Air Taxis of Albury, and who owned this Anson
and
also MH120 seen
alongside below. This latter was acquired ostensibly to
replace -BLP which
was retired in 1952
due to poor condition. In the event, MH120 was never used
on Greenfield's
Albury-Holbrook-Wagga passenger service, being sold to Brain &
Brown a couple of years later
when it became
VH-BAF.
