VH-BFI Avro 652A Anson 1
Another rare shot from Geoff Goodall's collection,
especially for airline historian enthusiasts such
as myself, is this Anson in
the markings of Butler Air Transport Pty. Ltd. taken at Sydney's Mascot
Airport, circa
1948. BAT sold it off in 1950 to Overland Air
Services of Condobolin NSW who
flew it on passengers
services until sadly it crashed in the Sydney suburb of Padstow on 13
January
1952 during a short
positioning flight from Bankstown to Mascot, killing the OAS captain as
well as
the air hostess.
