VH-BFB
Bristol 170 Mark 31
(c/n 13192)
Formerly with the Royal Pakistani Air Force as
S4436. Imported in September 1961,
it went
straight to Ansett-MAL after overhaul. Whilst in Papua New Guinea
it was based
most of
the time in Madang. It was retired in 1967 and moved to Lae
for storage. As
with its
sister-ship VH-BFA, it was sold to Safe Air Ltd for spare parts and
ferried to
New
Zealand. For the ferry flight it became ZK-CVL. It was
later used in the rebuild
of ZK-BMA as
ZK-CVY. Its remains were scrapped alongside the former
VH-BFA
at Woodbourne, New Zealand in 1981.
