VH-BCN  de Havilland D.H.82A Tiger Moth               (c/n    DHA876/T267)

                             
                             
                                  Tiger -BCN was first civilianized in April of 1947 although early photographs of it are rare. Rod
                                  Adam's shot above (via the Geoff Goodall collection) was taken at Albury in January 1964.
                                  Geoff 's own shot of it (below) was taken somewhat later at the 1983 Mangalore air show.
                                  VH-BCN has had a couple of "off the register" periods:  one in the early 1960s, and again from
                                  1974 until 1982.  Clearly it had just come out of the refurbishment shop when Geoff saw it.   It is
                                  still current and has been owned by Kenneth McClean of Lavington, NSW for many years.  Its
                                  RAAF identity was A17-459.
