Beech 35-C33 Debonair
(c/n CD-862)
Although officially
described as Model 35-33s, the Debonair is usually referred to merely
as the
Model 33. The basic 35-33 was a Model M35 butterfly tailed
Bonanza fitted with a conventional
fin
and rudder. So successful did this formula turn out to be that it
was developed into a whole sub
series of its own, although by the time they reached the E33 series the
Debonair name was dropped
and both
V-tailed and straight tailed aircraft were referred to as
Bonanzas. Greg Banfield shot this
one, still wearing its factory paint job at Bankstown in January
1979. First registered in March of
1967, it is still active and registered to an owner in Dubbo, NSW.
