                                    This Anson was owned by Townsville & Country Airways, registered to them in May of 1947.
                                    The print below, from the Geoff Goodall collection, shows it loading at Cloncurry in 1947.
                                    TACA flew long distances to outback north Queensland towns as far west as Mount Isa.
                                    VH-BAK suffered an undercarriage collapse on landing at Julia Creek on 4 January 1948
                                    badly damaging the wing.     It was stripped for parts and the fuselage trucked back to the
                                    company base in Townsville.   Townsville & Country was taken over over by ANA using a
                                    DC-3.

                                   *  VH-BAK (1) was ntu and was originally allocated to the DC-3 which became VH-EAL.
