VH-BAE
(2) Chrislea
CH-3 Super Ace
(c/n 129)
Here's a nice shot of Chrislea
Super Ace VH-BAE at Yanco, NSW in May 1967, after it
had been specially rolled-out at the owner's farm for Geoff Goodall to
take the above shot.
Geoff
advises also that the shed it lived in also had the crash remains of a
Fox Moth stashed
in the back. This Super Ace had originally been imported
into New Zealand as ZK-ASJ, and
was exported to
Australia at the end of 1959. Seen below is a shot from the
Kenneth Tilley
collection showing it on
display at the Drage Airworld Museum at Wangaratta in the late 1980s.
Kieran Maher recently reported to me that he had
heard from one of the Bunn Brothers a few
years ago indicating that Joe Drage still has this aircraft on his
property at Wangaratta.
