VH-ASW  de Havilland D.H.82A Tiger Moth                  (c/n  DHA655/T293)

                                  
                                
                                     This Tiger, seen at Rabual, New Guinea circa late 50s, early 60s in this shot from the Wally Civitco collection,
                                     appears to be a Thruxton Jackaroo conversion, or possibly a copy ot that Tiger upgrade. has a weird canopy, more reminiscent of the later Thruxton Jackaroo than the standard Canadian-
                                     style canopy usually found on Aussie Moths at that time.  The image below, from the Civil Aviation
                                     Historical Society of South Australia shows the odd canopy in greater detail.      No details on the
                                     blokes, however. .  VH-ASW was withdrawn from service in December 1961.
