VH-AMI (1) de
Havilland D.H.94
Moth Minor
(c/n 94076)
VH-AMI at Perth's Maylands Airport in
1945 still wearing its RAAF camouflage shortly after
its
purchase for 150 pounds from the Commonwealth Disposals Commission at
RAAF Cund-
erdin,
WA, in March of that year. It was formerly A21-12 in the
service. It went on to fly
for a
number of WA civil owners, and was then re-registered VH-DDG with the
agricultural
company
David Gray and Co Ltd of Perth in July 1952. They used it as a
company hack to
transfer pilots and
loader drivers between their Tiger Moths in the field and headquarters.
It
finally wound up with Thomas H. Talbot of Bunbury, WA in 1955 who
re-registered it
VH-TNT.
