VH-ADO de
Havilland D.H.82A Tiger Moth
(c/n 82186)
Here's an anomaly.
Theoretically this Tiger never bore the registration VH-ADO, going
straight
from G-AFNM to A17-684. Clearly,
however, as this Australian War Memorial collection photo
(above)
shows, it did! The student pilot is having his
parachute adjusted by an LAC before a
training flight, circa 1940 in the early days of the Phony War.
This machine would soon be repainted
into the RAAF training scheme yellow colors of the
period. After WW II it became VH-BIN.
