                                           Essendon, 1957

                                           Built as C-47A-25-DK Skytrain 42-93429, this aircraft went to the RAAF as A65-55
                                           (call sign VHCUQ).  Civilianized for TAA in 1948.    Went to Mandated Airlines in
                                           1960 as VH-MAT.   Absorbed into the Ansett Group with Ansett-MAL./Ansett Airlines
                                           of Papua New Guinea.    Acquired by Air Nuigini in 1973 as P2-MAT.   Withdrawn from
                                           service in 1977 and was at Lae-Nadzab Airport into the 1980s.  Its current status is unknown.
