TC-KOC  Fairchild F.27 Friendship                      (c/n   81)

                                  

                                        THY operated ten Friendships.  Five were built by Fairchild and five by the parent Fokker.
                                        Both versions were delivered more or less simultaneously.  TC-KOC was the first of the
                                        Fairchild variety and, in fact, the first Friendship operated by the airline.    It was seriously
                                        damaged in an accident at Instanbul on 10 May 1973 and basically traded-in to Fokkers on
                                        a F-28 Fellowship.   Jerry Elmas' two shots show it (above) in latter-day livery and (below)
                                        in earlier (Turkish flag) markings.
